This subject outlines the key features of the different legal structures which people might adopt for their business and voluntary activities. The legal regulation of three of these - a partnership, a company incorporated under the Corporations Act and a trust as a business structure - are then considered in depth. Practical applications of the law, and public policy dimensions, are addressed throughout the subject.
